Unit 8657
Category: Layer dug in 2003
Area: North
Interpretive Categories: mortar,top brick
Data Category Information: none
Discussion: due to the very bad state of preservation of this layer and in order to expose second row of bricks, which offers much clearer picture of the construction, we removed tor row of bricks and corresponding mortar of the north wall of spaces 88 and 89. The bricks were eroded, as well as mortar. So it was difficult to distinguish between the two. Since this wall continues to the west, going farther into the west profile of the trench encompassed by our tent, we did not include tor row of bricks in the western part of this wall, belonging to space 87. (which will be excavated next year)
