Unit 10095
Category: layer dug in 2004
Area: North
Interpretive Categories: Fill below wall slumping,Niche fill
Data Category Information: Location: feature; Description: niche; Deposition: heterogeneous
Discussion: Fill of possible niche. This context now appears to sit inm a cut made into the wall into which the plaster surface (10093) appears to extend into. The fill is probably a combination of mudbrick smf mortar used to block the niche after use. However the elongated form of the niche is difficult to explain and if this interpretation is correct then the niche would have formed a channel cut into the wall immediately above the floor.
Recognition: Area in wall without any mudbrick amd where plaster floor (10093) extends in to the wall
