Dimensions: approx 3.60 m NS x 2.80 m EW x 1.4 m depth 

 

Description: Mellaart's backfill in house 2 comprised mixed loose tip-lines. Backfill overlay fragmentary remains of undisturbed floor and laminations + midden-type deposits. In SE corner was lump of collapsed wall which was collapse post-Mellaart, + removed. It had fallen on its plastered face but with no signs of paint or decoration. Presumably Mellaart would have retrieved any such pieces. 

 

Discussion: Mellaart's backfill of house 2 which overlay fragmentary but undisturbed remains of floors and midden. Dry Sieve Information: Not dry sieved but may have hand picked finds
