Unit description: Moderate-sized unit with variety of large and small fauna. Fairly fragmented, but larger pieces than 1022, 1023, 1026; more identifiable. Phalanges fragmented; trampled, or desperate for grease/marrow? Fair amount of manganese (black) staining. Coloration uniform, mid-brown. Some digestion, but much less than 1022, 1023, 1026. Good bit equid, some large cattle, sheep/goat; a little pig, fox. Flot sample 12, >4mm, 100% done by SAF Fairly dense, including some recently fragmented skull fragments. However, mainly small pieces of fairly uniform medium brown pieces. A moderate amount of burning and digestion. id'd taxa include sheep/goat, cattle and pig. One phalanx is definitely goat.
