Unit 10406
Category: layer dug in 2004
Area: South
Interpretive Categories: Plaster debris,room fill
Data Category Information: Location: building; Deposition: heterogeneous; Basal Spit: basal deposit
Discussion: Plaster debris on platform (10408) F1502. These all appear to be plastered mud brick fragments with plaster on more than one side, I.e. around corners etc and differ from (10505) which are pretty much non specific plaster debris.
These fragmented were initially thought to relate to the "niches" F1508 and 1509 but may probably relate to the bench F1503 and its destruction/dismantelling or some other architectural feature.
Essentially part of room fill.
Mid X and Y is approximation of debris location. Dimensions of individual pieces or overall dimensions of spread not recorded. See plan 04/302.
Recognition: Several large pieces of plaster likely to be debris relating to niches, uncovered when removin room fill (10404).
