Unit 10416
Category: layer dug in 2004
Area: South
Interpretive Categories: burnt clay deposit, clay deposit
Data Category Information: Location: cut; Description: pit; Deposition: homogeneous
Discussion: ? Burnt clay deposit, Appears to be some form of packing. Originaly thought to represent some form of lining as slightly visible before excavation. Now appears to be either a burnt (suggested because of its blackened nature) or it has been suggested that this cut represents a basin, not a grave. In this scenario this deposit may have been wetted in the water within the basin , giving its textural appearance.
