Unit 10421
Category: layer dug in 2004
Area: South
Interpretive Categories: Fill, fill of robbed plinth
Data Category Information: Location: cut; Description: pit; Deposition: homogeneous; Basal Spit: basal deposit
Discussion: Single fill of niche [10420]. Appears to be more of an accumulation of deposit rather than deliberate backfilling or otherwise. Fill contained finds to suggest likewise, including an obsidian blade tip, a single fragment of animal bone, and several (24) small stones/pebbles. However, this find is not too suprising as the layer directly beneath the plaster (10407), (10448), also contains such inclusions. It is likely that those in this deposit either fell in during construction, destruction of accumulation.
Recognition: Visible beneath room fill (10404)
Definition: Within cut [10420]
