Unit 10457
Category: layer dug in 2004
Area: South
Interpretive Categories: Plaster surface
Data Category Information: Location: building; Description: raised area (platform); Material: white clay; Deposition: multiple
Discussion: Plaster surface on middle platform F1502, second one down, (10408) was uppermost. Plaster slopes to east and south poss subsidence.
Plaster consists of layer of greyer chaff rich plaster (10mm thick) covered by a layer of yellower finer plaster skim. Also seems more compact and in better condition on western side nearest wall F826, poss due to wear and tear?
Lips up against wall F826 and bench F1503. Lips down over W edge of platform.
Plaster however appears continuous as it lips up over northern edge of F1501. But it only extends up face and for 10cm or so north before it ends or becomes untracable.
Recognition: Plaster layer beneath (10456) extends over platform F1502
