Unit 10480
Category: Cut dug in 2004
Area: South
Interpretive Categories: grave cut
Data Category Information: Description: burial
Dimensions: 0.68m EW x 0.44m NSx 0.21m deep
Discussion: The eastern extent of this cut was almost completely destroyed by F1514 and animal burrows making the true eastern extent of 10480 almost imposible to determine.
If it wasn’t for the underlying deposits of F1516 the bottom fill of this feature, (10488) and the top fill of the underlying grave, F1517/ fill (11305) would be almost exactly the same making cut 10480 hard to determine.
Recognition: seen after removal of make up (10463) as oval plastereed shape. Fills within cut clearly contrast with surrounding make up layers and midden layers making 10480 easily recognisable
