Discussion: the stones are laying together, possibly placed, possibly thrown onto an orangy grey soil. Some mortar had collapsed/fallen on top of them. One of them was poking through in 10666 and originally recorded there, but it clearly belongs in this unit with this stone. 10673 and 10674 were on the same level, on the same floor but are not necessarily related

Consistency: dry, fine, powdery, crumbly 

Colour: mixed light brown/greyish, dark grey 

Texture: silt 

Bedding: compound, mixed, no clear stratigraphy 

Inclusions: n/a 

Post-depositional Features: rubble dropped on top of it (10666). Also had lots of rooty material underneath and moulded to the shape of the stones 

Basal Boundary: in pit fill… but stones clumped close together creating their own area
