Discussion: Linear cut running EW. Northern edge is irregular due to animal burrows and root disturbance, but drops sharply 70 -80 degrees where undisturbed. Truncated at south by wall. (THIS IS NOT THE CASE) The base is fairly flat sloping down from the west to the east. Filled by 1089

Foundation cut for wall that is no longer there. Fill full of compact fallen material that appears homogenous. Perhaps material that it cut was considered too insubstantial to build on? Slopes to the East from the West 

Execution: Mattock and trowel
