Discussion: This is another layer in sequence of deposits creating W part of infill of a large Hellenistic pit located in central part of the excavated area. The layer was distinguished arbitraly. As size and shape of the cut are identical with unit 10929, no plan of the unnit was drawn. 

 

Recognition: stratigraphic relation to other contents 

Definition: W part of a pit infill 

Execution: trowel, shovel 

Condition: dry, hot 

Consistency: soft/ friable 

Colour: mid and dark brown with yellowish intrusions 

Texture: silty sand 

Bedding: massive in N and S parts, layered in the center 

Inclusions: pottery, obsidian, animal bones, daub 

Post-depositional Features: none 

Basal Boundary: arbitrary
