Discussion: This burial cut corresponds with feature 1750, which includes the cut, wooden coffin lining (unit 11002), skeleton (unit 11004), and burial fill (unit 11001). This cut lies in space 232, the "street" between noted neolithic brick walls. The cut is ellongated ovoid, primarily rectilinear, and has an orientation of approximately 10 degrees counter-clockwise of East-West, perhaps corresponding with the season of the burial.

Recognition: This cut was identified by the immediate upper layer of wooden coffin lining, as well as a difference between fill sediments and surrounding sediments
Definition: Cut is defined by edges of fill; I.e. where fill has been completely removed, and exposed surrounding sediment is visible
Execution: Trowel and brush were used to remove remaining fill and wooden coffin lining (11002)
Condition: Somewhat damp, due to rainshowers of 16/7/04
Shape: Elongated ovoid with linear N and S sides
Sides: Vertical (with slumping at base)
Base Break: Gradual to sharp
Base: Fairly flat, and elongated ovoid with linear N and S sides
Orientation: About 10 degrees counter-clockwise of an East-West orientation
