Dimensions: up to 0.025m thick 

 

Discussion: initially just looked like a skim of plaster but on excavtion found to be relitively thick up to 2.5cm thick on the west side. Apparently filling hollow where fill has subsided in grave cut

L, W approximated using CAD. V approximated. T.C.C. 20-07-09. 

 

Recognition: recognised on removal of (11243) once brushed clean, contrast with plaster to west colour difference 

Definition: clear 

Execution: trowel 

Condition: dry 

Consistency: friable-firm 

Colour: pale slightly brownish cream 

Texture: clayey silt 

Bedding: massive 

Inclusions: frequent to moderate grit and flexck inclusions 

Post-depositional Features:  

Basal Boundary: abrupt, distinct, smooth, filling slightly hollow, smooth.
