Unit 11495
Category: layer dug in 2004
Area: South
Interpretive Categories: platform construction
Data Category Information: In Situ: in situ; Location: feature; Description: raised area (platform); Material: brick&mortar; Deposition: heterogeneous
Discussion: gave a number to this unit because had flicked out a few human bones from the top while troweling clean. Orange brown sandy material in the NW corner of the platform. Looks different to pinky brown material to the E. Ive assumed since taking off the mud brick 11466 off the top that this is a make up deposit but its possible that it may turn out to be a burial fill within a cut, but Im now expecting all the burials to be lying at the very base of the platform. This turnded out to be the edge of the platform constructed in mudbrick material and squaring up the edge of the Platform.
