Discussion: A new small trench was opened up at the beginning of the 2005 excavation season. It is called the west extension trench and it is placed between extension trench defined in the 2003 season and excavated thereafter and east trenches studied by J. Mellaart in the 1960s. This trench has irregular shape and its relative wides in north- west part of the excavated area. This irregular shape is caused .by irregular edges of trenches from 1960s. This trench has irregular shape and it is relative wides in north - west parts of the excavated area. This irregular shape is caused by irregular edges of trenches from the 1960s. It is worth stressing that an edge of Mellaart`s trenches in southern part was found in 2003 and it borders with western edge of the extension trench. Unit 11546 was defined an arbitrary layer of loose sand placed on top of compact floor of Roman building.
