Discussion: İt is a large floor deposit, posssibly covering an entire ground surface of Building 61.
The deposit was homogenous of massive bedding, coposed of greyish silty sand. Due to lowering of the denudation base to the east from the excavated floor, its surface has been broken off in a couple of instances, along the N-S alignment. The most serious brake occured c. 1.10 m from the eastern edge of the Buiding. Coordinates of this brake are as follows as seen from the south to north:
1-976.82\991.29\1017.17
2-976.84\991.68\1017.21
3-976.87\992.08\1017.21
Except for this part, where deposits underneath led to breaking off its surface and made the stratigraphic sequence more complicated, the unit was easily distinguishable both in plan and section due to its colour and statigraphic position between two make up layers.
The mass of the deposit was very clear as only several litlle fragments of animal bones were recorded on its. The floor is irregular in shape being truncated by many later cuts (11740, 11742, 11750,11775,11589,13000). A small fragment of the floor plaster was recorded in its southern part, against the edge of a partition wall recorded as unit 13002.
The unit is the first in the oldest sequence of floor levels of Building 61 and it is set on a brownish make up layer (12286).
Above there was another floor, composed of brownish silty sand make up but it preserved only partly in the southern section of the building, along with white pebbled make up layer (12295) and the floor deposit itself(12294).
Three archive as well as three flotation samples were taken considering the size of the deposit: it may carry traces of distinct activities in its varioıs sections. No internal structures were found on the floors surfacce, therefore the places of the samples collection were chosen arbitarly.
As the floor surface was sloping from the west to the east, a set of measurements was taken to capture stepness of this slope.
This is described by three lines of measurements taken from the north to south in three sections of the floor; eastern, central, western. The measurements are following:
1 the most eastern section:
1017.18, 1017.09, 1017.00
2 the central section:
1017.23, 1017.22, 1017.17
3 the eastern section:
1017.36, 1017.37, 1017.36

Finds Room Information:

All material from site passes through the finds room for washing and separating before it is passed onto the various lab teams. The finds room keeps a basic inventory of what is found. A finds material type list is given here. Further analytical detail maybe provided by the Lab Team data below.

X Finds Material: nothing recorded

Finds Material Stored: nothing recorded
