This is a late Roman/Byzantine burial found in space 271. A glass vial was found next to the left side of the head; one coffin nail was present. (These are X finds in the burial fill unit 12335). The lower legs of this individual were truncated by some sort of late trench or pit. Other body elements such as the left ribs and left arm were also disturbed, possibly by rodent activity. This individual was approximately 10 years of age at the time of death.

Body: Extended, on back
Head: On besicranium, oriented to west (head); feet to east
Right Arm: Extended alongside body, elbow slightly away from body; hand extended below R hip at upper leg.
Left Arm: Upper arm extended alongside body; lower arm and hand not in situ; some elements missing.
Right Leg: Upper femme in situ, extended; lower leg & foot not in situ, most of feet bones are missing
Left Leg: None in situ, some of femur and tibia present; probably extended.
