Discussion: Mud brick core of platform F.2219, comes down onto 12994 a compacted surface or earlier phase of platform 2219. 12992 may have been a layer to raise the platform height. 

 

Recognition: Removed striped floors and plaster layers 12991 to reveal brick core. 

Definition: Good - truncated to the west and north 

Execution: Trowel excavated 

Condition: dry cold and windy 

Consistency: loose friable 

Colour: mid brown 

Texture: silty clay 

Bedding: massive 

Inclusions: occasional animal bone and stone 

Post-depositional Features: animal burrow and root disturbance 

Basal Boundary: good on to 12994, compact floor
