Unit 13062
Category: Layer dug in 2006
Area: TP
Interpretive Categories: infill
Data Category Information: Location: between walls; Deposition: heterogeneous
Discussion: This is an infill layer of unspecified character under another infill layer rec. as unit 11761. It was placed between two walls: from the west:u.11714 and from the north- 11764. However, they are younger than u. 13062 which is probably contemporary with older, yet unspecified walls that are underneath u.11714 and 11764. From both S and E side this infill was truncated by later cuts. The bedding of this unit was layered and consisted of four thin, horizontally palced layers that were easily removable one from another. The infill was very heterogenous in terms of colour.
A huge amount of material was found within the unit, especially animal bones. A fr. Of ground stone were also found. The units basal boundary was irregular and hard to define. In NE corner of the unit, a fr. Of floor sloping S was recorded but it was impossible to define its extension. Exploration of this unit has been finished as the human skull was noticed in its western section. A phytholith sample was taken from skulls surroundings. Remains of phytholiths were visible within all this unit.
