Unit 13125
Category: Skeleton dug in 2006
Area: North
Interpretive Categories: multiple neolithic burial complex
Data Category Information: none
Discussion: SK!£!"% is the skull and madible of a single individual who was probably disturbed during the interment of SK13132, SK12935 and SK13126. The post-cranial elements of SK13125 (and SK13124) appear to have been placed back into the burial pit after the interment of the three articulated later skeletons. The bones of the two disrticulated skulls, 13124 and 13125, were put back in a deliberate manner: the heads to the west (like the articulated individuals), the leg bones together lengthwise, and the ribs and vertebrea in the north-east corner. The arms and pelvis were less rigidly placed, but were found in the northern part of the burial pit. The enlargement of the pit to the north may correspond to the burial events related to the disturbance of SK13125 and SK13124.
