Data Category Information: Description: fire spots (non-structured)
Dimensions: 4.10m x 2.30m x up to .12m thick
Discussion: Deposit of dark brown/black burning with frequent charcoal and burnt animal bone, lying in shallow cut; underlying layer(s) scorched pink/red. Layer as excavated didn't consist entirely o fthe dark brown burnt material but also included a thin lens of light material, and a thicker deposit of yellow mudbricky material in an isolated patch towards the south edge. Possibly one major burning event with two small secondary events (including small isolated patch excavated as part of 13139).

Inclusions: Frequent small frags of animal bone; moderate obsidian; moderate medium pot frags; occasional shell frags; frequent charcoal (but not much out of dry sieve?); moderate mini clay balls; moderate clay shapes
Post-depositional Features: Truncated by Byzantine foundation trench to east
Basal Boundary: Abrupt; distinct; smooth or wavy; inclined generally from west to east but basal boundary a shallow bowl
