Unit 13194
Category: Layer dug in 2006
Area: North
Interpretive Categories: destruction
Data Category Information: Location: building; Deposition: homogeneous
Discussion: mixed ashy deposit - an excavation found 2 horncores. The small one just within the fill, the larger horncore (X2) lay on the east side of the unit with it's tip plastered into the wall, not sure if the rest of horn-core had been disturbed, pulled away from the wall-line maybe - this layer may well be a destruction deposit.
Removed from allocation to Space 312, B.66 as abandonment sequence (SF 02/11/10)
Recognition: recognised during excavation of 13181. - darker, more compact horizon - also looked pre-ex as if unit might be within a cut
Definition: clear
Execution: trowel - think that I excavated this layer out of stratigraphic sequence
Condition: dry
Consistency: friable/loose
Colour: very pale grey/dark grey/dark brownish grey
Texture: ashy - slightly clayey, sandy silt
Bedding: massive
Inclusions: mod small flecks charcoal; occ small/med bone
