Unit description: Fairly small unit. Mostly smallish pieces of sheep-size animals, but 1-2 large pieces of antler and cattle mandible. More than half burnt, to varying degrees. Heavy on the cranial elements. Sample 2 >4 mm flotation 100% sorted and recorded completely. Variety of fragment and taxon sizes, including some quite large. Some burning, but less than in dry-sieved material. Wide range of elements, but short on feet. Pile of antler fragments that probably originally formed a tine. A little digestion. Weathering moderate to severe. Less fragmented than many units, especially in North area. Some coherence; several pieces seem to be from a rather robust sheep/goat. Seems to be from daily post-consumption discard, but less heavily processed than some. No sign of major bone grease production. Is this a seasonal difference?
