Discussion: Unit is located in nort-eastern to central part of the trench. It's irregular in shape. From the west it's truncated by cut of the Mellaart excavation from the 1960s. The unit is placed against the wall [13580] and it is certainly younger than this wall. Texture consistency and bedding make to interpret this unit as rubble or elements of collapsed wall. If this is a rubble the unit may have been accumlated over considerable span of time. It seems as if an initial portion of the rubble was succesively enlarged by its subsequent dumping episodes resulting in heterogenous composition of the unit and curent difficulties in distinguishong basal boundaries in N and S part (in N is gradual and distinct, thinner, in S arbitrary because of faint contrast between this and layer underneath. Other interpretation concerns that wall adjacent to this unit may have collapsed resulting in accumulation of broken bricks in this unit. Unit was recorded within midden. It may has been caused by both post-depositional processes (soilfluction) and processes of deposition. That may have occurred at the some time (deposition of midden layer and deposition of rubble).

Finds Room Information:
All material from site passes through the finds room for washing and separating before it is passed onto the various lab teams. The finds room keeps a basic inventory of what is found. A finds material type list is given here. Further analytical detail maybe provided by the Lab Team data below.
