Unit 1360

Data Category Information: Location: building; Description: general; Material: non-white laid floor; Deposition: composite (floor/bedding/plaster/packing/occupation)
Discussion: This unit is a sub-floor packing just about 8 cm below the unit I have reached dark dirty yellow coloured floor. From this unit. I have exposed some sherds at the bottom of the Unit just above the floor.
The bottom of the Unit apparently a burnt layer the colour of the soil is turned to black and structure become more loose and weak. From the profile it is clear that there is a sloping through the south of the building from northern wall. And probably the burnt layer going under the East-West wall at the southern corner of the Space111.It might be shown that this wall had been built over the ashy layer we have discovered along the southern wall of the building 1.
This unit contains of both floors and packing- very confused become the centre domes up so the floors and packing slope away on all side effectively. On the West side the deposit below was a good interface- a hard ashy/grey dump, but to the east it is less clear and may have even gone beneath it. So it was decided to stop digging. Best idea is to see section drawing (96/276) and (96/279).

Unit description: Small unit with mostly small fragments of mostly sheep-size animals. This holds for general unit material as well as samples 4 + 9. Little burning, and variable weathering. Beautiful bone pendant, broken through perforation, from sample 9. Sample 3 >4mm flotation 100% sorted, recorded completely. Large sample for North area. Mostly small bits of sheep-size scrap. Features a rare pig phalanx, and a fragment of bird long bone. Also some fish and froggy microfauna. A little burning at high and low temperatures. A little digested. Most is rather weathered/worn, but some is fresher. No coherence, seems to have mixed origins. Looks like fill.
