Unit 1399
Category: Cut dug in 1996
Area: North
Data Category Information: Description: burial
Dimensions: c.0.8m sw-ne, 0.6m nw-se
Discussion: Cut for fill (1364) contains parts of articulated human limbs.
This is a very problematic unit - it appeared as if the cut/pit was very shallow, and this may be a shallow re-cut; however, below the disarticulated bones lies an articulated inhumation which is probably the last burial and therefore the cut goes much deeper. Awaiting resolution 16/9/96 Cut as defined on surface clear not all 1399- however fills were distinguished lower down and a reused cut plan can be drawn at this level which sits within the larger cut 1927 which itself is probably also more than one cut but too difficult to differentiated.
