Data Category Information: Description: lime burning; Deposition: homogeneous

Discussion: another light deposit from 'marl?burning' in the midden. Pure & very green in patches but also mixed with ash elsewhere. As with other 'lime' deposits overlys a dark brown burnt layer. 

Recognition: distinctive colour; assoc with dark brown burnt layer underneath, - seen in base of section & base of foundation cut 

Definition: fairly clear

Condition: dry 

Consistency: loose 

Colour: pale green/grey/pale yellow 

Texture: silt - ashy 

Bedding: massive 

Inclusions: freq bone; mod pot; mod obsidian; occ shell 

Post-depositional Features: partly truncated by Byz foundation cut at S end 

Basal Boundary: abrupt; distinct; smooth; flat or wavy; undulating
