Discussion: floor in sp.309, not fully exposed 

 

Recognition: difficult to recognise, the floor is very thin and scoured away in the middle of the room. It was recognised in the NW corner and in the NE continuing along the same level of burial courses in the wall

Execution: The floor, if present in the middle of the room was removed with room fill (14103) 

Condition: hot 

Consistency: firm 

Colour: white 

Texture: silty clay 

Bedding: compound layered but only a few layers 

Inclusions:

Post-depositional Features: heavily eroded and difficult to recognise in the middle of the room 

Basal Boundary: above arbitrary floor layer given number (14169) through which burials were cut.
