Discussion: AJEP 27.6. 2007: Whilst taking down north platform, encountered beige flecks resembling plaster and crumbly dark orange flecks which we suspect to be remains of mudbricks.
RW 2.-4.7. 2007: Some mudbricks in southern area of the platform. While taking down northern part of platform, defining mudbricks (after finding a wall in the western profile) discovered two types of mudbrick- hard dry and darkish clay. Maybe a burial dug into mudbrick with a mudbrick lining.
In N area next to profile wall, double layered plaster line in a horizontal layer, possibly floor but more likely a collapsed wall.
KN 5.7.2007: Sketch on this sheet comes from area in NE corner of the unit - possible decayed mudbrick layer extending 4cm downward, looks as though sitting on dirt. Northern edge has plaster coming through at the bottom of layer of extending backward. This brick area was taken to examine plaster layer which likely connects with other plaster being found to NW of mudbrick, runs underneath the possible bricks.
RW 9.7. 2007: Suggestion that white plaster layer may be Roman.
Unit extended to bulk (9.07.07).
