Discussion: This is the layer appearing beneath 14287 in the south western corner of trench 5. It seems to be homogenous up to f.2424. There have been multiple speculations of which 'room fill' has been the most common. 

 

Recognition: yellowish colour, compact, different to 14287 

Definition: clear 

Condition: windy 

Consistency: compact 

Colour: yellowish grey 

Texture: clay silt 

Bedding: massive 

Inclusions: ceramic sherds 

Post-depositional Features: roots, animal burrows 

Basal Boundary: clear on eastern edge cutting f.2424
