Discussion: The fill of the oven (F. 2384) was very strile, there were almost no finds. There were lots of oven wall pieces that had fallen in, most likely when the building was demolished. The walls and floor of the oven are in good condition. 

Recognition: fill within ovens 

Definition: clear, well defined 

Execution: trowel, pick 

Condition: cold and very windy 

Consistency: friable 

Colour: reddish brown with black flecks 

Texture: clay silt 

Bedding: massive 

Inclusions: very occasional bone, very occassional stone, frequent burnt mudbrick (oven walls that fell in) 

Post-depositional Features: bit of bioturbation 

Basal Boundary: sharp and clear onto burnt floor and walls of oven
