Discussion: -Main/upper fill of grave cut, sealing & probably packing alongside coffin (15027) - The latter being visible as thin wooden lines, with cross beams near the top and bottom.
-This fill clearly filled the coffin when the lid gave way.
-The fill was clay rich and may have been, in part, backfilled whilst damp or wet, (forming a good seal?), perhaps accounting for the good preservation of the wooden coffin.
