Unit 15293
Category: Layer dug in 2007
Area: TP
Interpretive Categories: infill
Data Category Information: Location: building; Deposition: heterogeneous
Dimensions: 3.00 x 2.00 x 0.14
Discussion: This is an infill layer in a sequence of infills in the Eastern part of Building 72 recorded as Space 324. Character and content of this space implies that it may have had a similar character as its Western part(space 323), where a solid floor was discovered. A similar floor is expected to be found in Space 324. Space was filled in with the rubbish infill after the Building abandonment. A similar deposit was also recorded in the doorway that was cut in Southern wall of the Space, which two part were recorded as units 13578 and 13581. The Northern wall was badly destroyed for yet unspecified purpose. This is probably associated with use of this space in the late phase of its occupation. The infill consisted of many of constructional elements including fr. Of bricks, a plaster. It contained also fragments of destroyed floor, but not as many as in the adjacent infill in space 323. The exploration was finished arbitrarly to be able to record a layer directly above the expected floor of Space 324 as an independent unit.
