Unit 15357
Category: Layer dug in 2011
Area: Trench 5
Interpretive Categories: arbitrary layer of top soil
Data Category Information: none
Dimensions: EW 0.5m - NS 0.2m - 0.3m
Discussion: This unit seems to belong to the top soil. It is very disturbed (burial F.3340, Byzantine pottery, animal burrows). I have the impression to find less obsidian than in the top soil layer above (U.15350) but animal bones seemed to be less fragmented. On the west part, there is a wall (F.3341) which is characterised by a black layer and another white layer (mortar). Other parts of brick (black layer) are present but ist difficult to identify clearly a new wall. There are a lot of big stones which underline a level very perturbated.
