Unit 15766
Category: Layer dug in 2007
Area: South
Interpretive Categories: mudbrick wall
Data Category Information: In Situ: in situ; Location: wall/blocking; Material: brick; Deposition: heterogeneous
Dimensions: 0.3m wide and 9cm high
Discussion: mudbrick wall consisting of NE/SW aligned mudbricks. The nature of this wall remains elusive as it does not appear to have any counterparts in the vicinity nor does it appear to belong with buiding 65. It may be that the wall was used to revett dumped material to counteract the slope of the ground. It stood only one brick high and consisted of mixed mudbricks, some similar to those used in building 65 and one which appears to derive from the lower buiding sequence ubder buildings 65 and 68
