Unit 15945
Category: Layer dug in 2007
Area: North
Interpretive Categories: Hearth?
Data Category Information: In Situ: in situ; Location: feature; Description: hearth
Dimensions: 0.09 m (N-S), 0.6 m (E-W), 8-10 cm high

SW corner = 1035.078E/1160.633N

Discussion: Planned retrospectively, missed because feature was so ambiguous. However, very clear in section as floor sequence respects it.
Not clear what it is. Some brick can be seen at outer limits, some burnt patched (very small) in middle, suggesting it may be a hearth.
However, fill was indistinguishable from superstructure
Recognition: A bit difficult, floors stop at it
Definition: Not clear - see discussion
Execution: Recorded, removed
Condition: Calm
Consistency: Firm, compact
Colour: Mid-light yellow-brown
Texture: Slightly sandy silt
Bedding: Possibly compouns - may contain fill
Inclusions: Occassional burnt patches, mainly brick with occasional charcoal flecks
Post-depositional Features: Not clear either
