Description: Excavated as part of FT 18 in 2007 

Discussion: This deposit lays outside the walls in Space 60 but was not very well defined as it was excavated in a foundation trench. This deposit is a heterogenous mix of apparent crushed bricks, broken animal bone and charcoal. A long section is visible through the beam slot connecting FT 19 to the north and 16038 looks similar to these "street" deposits. 

Recognition: by color, texture and location to external walls

Consistency: firm 

Colour: pale brown 

Texture: sandy silt
