Unit 16073
Category: Cut dug in 2007
Area: North
Interpretive Categories: grave cut
Data Category Information: Description: burial
Dimensions: 0.90 m x 0.30 m x 0.24 m
Discussion: Grave Cut - N-S aligned late period burial (Byzantine). The North-South alignment is rather strange. The burial is of a juvenile and contained nails marking the location of a now decayed wooden coffin and on the chest was a small fragile glass vessel.
The grave was cut from the top soil and it appears to be byzantine.
