Discussion: Sub-oval cut extending north beyond the limit of excavation. Western edge slopes quite gently , the eastern edge slopes more steeply at the north becoming more gradual towards the south. Southern edge is barely perceptible, the base of the cut/hollow is smooth sloping gently down towards the south. A cut or hollow associated with the construction of wall 96/58, filled with 1607. West side of cut ran under wall 96/58 and beneath 1594 ( a deposit that appears to have been laid down
