Unit 1635

Area: South
Interpretive Categories: ?building fill
Data Category Information: In Situ: in situ; Location: floor (packing only); Material: pise-like; Deposition: heterogeneous
Description: SE corner of Space 113
Discussion: Rather confusing. Originally thought this was collapsed wall / room fill overlying burnt collapsed roof. Having taken off the fill, it looks a though it overlies a similar but more plastery fill in either a cut or an underlying depression. To the S, there are traces of the wall of an oven, & the patch of burnt clay I thought was roof collapse to the W of [1635] now seems to be collapsed oven roof. The floor to E of [1635] seems to have been either cut or made on a diagonal, next to the oven. Dry Sieve Information: Probably some dry sieve but amount unknown
