Description: small clayish dump near small pit 1656 

Discussion: Small dump of silt / clay soil next to & underlying the redeposited oven lining found under post-Mellaart surface. Overlying to N an obsidian-rich small area of soil in edge of cut [1656]. Abuts - or more likely is abutted by - a deposit with a flat, concrete-sound-a-like surface tipping down towards the wall. All a bit mixed up at present.

Planned on a composite with the 2 adjacent layers shown in above sketch. As extent of each wasn't clear pre-excavation.

Colour: 2.5 Y 6/3 - 5/3 light yellowish brown - light olivbe brown
