Discussion: 16959 is a layer of roomfill with a number of large sherds and animal bones. The unit had an irregular shape; in the west the unit originally was defined by several mudbricks directly south of the buttress, f. 5061. When these mudbricks were removed, it was determined that 16959 and 16958 were the same episode of roomfill and that the mudbricks rested on top of it.
