Unit 17281
Category: Layer dug in 2012
Area: Trench 5
Data Category Information: none
Dimensions: NS: 64 cm; EW: 57 cm; depth: 12 cm
Discussion: U. 17281 is a small remains of a wall between b. 98 and area 446. It is believed that it is associated with the threshold/doorway into b. 98. It consisted of heterogenous soil, disturbed by rodent pits and contained pottery, bones, and obsidian tools. Within its interior a flat line in the section and bottom can be determined, thus differentiating the southern plastered (?) layer from the rest of the wall. As different soil characteristics are registered below, a new unit (17282) is opened at the same location, I.e. the bottom wall level.
