Discussion: A section is cut in the length of the oven through its mouth. After removing a thin layer of loose soil (dark brown) a floor was uncovered in the centre of the excavated unit. The floor was removed as stratum # 13. After removing the floor we observe a loose white plaster wash which covered the walls of the oven. This would have been a lund of renovation of the oven for the construction of the last (higher) floor. A lower floor was uncovered by 1736.
