Unit 18153
Category: Layer dug in 2009
Area: South
Interpretive Categories: Pit fill
Data Category Information: Location: cut; Description: pit
Dimensions: N-S 4.30 x 2.60 x 0.85 m
Discussion: Fill of lined pit, probably the upper fill. Represents infill after pit we half-sectioned 10/08/09. X2 above single brick in fill. At both top X1 and X2 and base of unit (18178 x1, x2, x3) were horncores suggestive that it was infilled quickly and the closure of the pit involved discarding cattle horncores.
Recognition: Initially pit was thought to contain slumped floors that turned out to be a repeated lining. This unit was the upper fill.
