Discussion: A ground stone (x2 from 18328) was found above the West side of the skull, which may have caused the crushing / fragmentation of the skull when excavated. This burial is in association with 18328 (fill), where it looks like a rapid depositional event took place in Space 342. The individual was positioned on its stomach and the right side was pressed against the Feature 5061 (butress). Cut 18336 and layer 18334 were created for this burial even though there is no cut apparent . Phytoliths were found around the burial and underneath all the bones. A majority of rights ribs were broken on top of it. Thie ribs being broken may also be associated with the right side of the neonate being pressed against the buttress. Both the right ulna and radius were broken in half when they were lifted.

JMR 10.3.2010: Note that skeleton descriptions varies in parts from what is written on the unit sheet. Probably the database info is more recent.
