Unit 18337
Category: Layer dug in 2009
Area: Trench 5
Interpretive Categories: room fill
Data Category Information: none
Dimensions: 1,88m NS - 1,86m EW - 0,4m deep
Discussion: In the SE corner there is a big inclusion of charcoal (Unit 18338, in pit U 18339). In the centre of the room there probably are remains of pigment (see samples 1+2), but disturbed by animal burrows. Also a big lump pf plaster in the centre.
coordinates of x4: top = 698,06 - 970,57 - 1004,77 / bottom = 698,08 - 970,64 - 1004,65
Unit overlies surface 18347. Whike excavating, we detected that wall 5075 is a buttress abutted by some roomfill which itself is cut into by a late gravw - part of pit 18340/ 18339 is thus proper roomfill while another part of it is the backfill of the grave. Unit 18337, however, seems to be entirely under the grave cut and therefore quite "clean".
