Data Category Information: Location: cut; Description: burial

Dimensions: 0.77m X 0.74m

Discussion: EW: Fill of burial cut (18446). In the burned B.76. Fill is of a compact, dark brown clay-silt. Very hard to excavate--as thougt the burning of the building baked the clay in situ. Inclusions besides flecks of charcoal and clay clumps is extremely rare, ie fill is very clean.

LDH: the compactness of the soil changed to loose and friable around the skeleton. The soils and bones were quite different in the western and eastern portions of the grave. The western platform was burned to a hotter and/or longer duration compared to the east porition of the platform. Consequently, thje soils and bones in the west part of the grave were dark brown and blackened respectively while the eastern soils wre lighter in color and the bones not blackened.
