Discussion: Mixed burnt building collapse, frequent burned clay with wood impressions of large circular timbersw and smaller circular poles.

This appears to represemt roof collapse mixed with highly burnt mudbrick. 

 

Recognition: rubble inclusions, colour softer 

Definition: fairly clear 

Execution: mattock and trowel 

Condition: hot and dusty 

Consistency: firm 

Colour: pale yellow green and red 

Texture: brick rubble, burnt brick crush, plaster 

Bedding: composite 

Inclusions: occational animal bone, stones, flint shell and obsidian 

Post-depositional Features: heavily burnt 

Basal Boundary: sharp
